ABOUT VQ VISION

A Message From Dr. Tanya Polec
O.D., FNORA, FCOVD
Owner & Specialist in Brain Injury Rehabilitation
I started VQ Vision over 15 years ago with the goal of helping rehabilitate patients who have been affected by a brain injury, learning disabilities, balance and cognition issues, and those who want to keep active as they age.
I am blessed to have assembled an incredibly talented, compassionate, and qualified team of doctors and practitioners who are the top of their field. Many of our practitioners themselves have recovered from a brain injury, visual or cognitive troubles, or have helped a family member or friend. We listen and help each patient with empathy and understanding.

Over the years our team, has perfected a treatment plan and series of therapies that address the variety of symptoms a patient may be experiencing after a brain injury, including issues with anxiety, balance, and cognition. The eye-brain-body connection is integral in returning a patient to wellness so they can live their life and achieve their goals.
Many patients find us after trying many therapies, doctors, and medications with limited results. We are here to help you and have rehabilitated thousands of patients over the years, providing them with hope and enabling them to return back to work or school, all the while being able to live a healthy, vibrant life.

We started our practice in a single office in Tucson, AZ and have now moved the majority of our care online, leveraging Telehealth. This move was partially due to the current global climate, but has been a long-term goal of ours to better suit the needs of all our patients as we know traveling to an office is often difficult for many patients who have suffered a brain injury.

We are glad you found us and look forward to meeting you, giving you hope that you can recover, and helping you reach your goals.

Sincerely,
Dr. Tanya Polec
WHO WE HELP
CONCUSSION REHAB
Rehabilitating patients with a brain injury, concussions, and related disorders so that they can return to work and enjoy a higher quality of life.
ACTIVE AGING
Improving balance, reaction time, cognition for retirees and elderly so they can drive longer, stay more active, and keep their edge.
ENHANCED LEARNING
Helping to enhance vision, cognition, and stability for patients with learning disabilities including ADD/ADHD and Dyslexia so they can focus better and excel.
Programming our athletes to react faster, have optimum peripheral awareness, sharper focus, and a variety of additional visual skills. Sports require much more dynamic processes from the visual system.
HOW WE HELP
Our goal is to address symptoms of headache, double vision, and anxiety in order to provide a treatment plan that reduces those symptoms for daily activities and work. The plan strives for a reconnection between the eye, brain, and body which informs how you take in and interpret the space around you.
We work to improve memory, processing, and recall in order to re-establish normalcy for our patients to help them return to work, enjoy life, and perform daily functions.
Finally, we strive to restore balance as brain injury patients often experience a confusion or doubling of the space, room, or floor around them. Our goal is to stabilize their world and decrease overall anxiety.

Testimonials
"My son has consistently had behavioral problems since he began school. I've tried counselors, medications, etc...nothing seemed to be effective. That is, until I stumbled upon VQ® training. Their program has turned my son around. He is focused, excelling in his schoolwork, and behaving in class."
Maria C.
Tucson, AZ
"Therapists offered a variety of medications to "test" on my daughter.
I always felt there was a better option other than medicine. Working with the VQ® team, provided the results we were looking for...without the assistance of pharmaceuticals."
Debbie H.
Tucson, AZ
"My neighbor utilized VQ® training to help his son excel in sports and thought it may be an option for us. It was...turns out he was not concentrating properly because of a minor visual problem. It's fixed and tutoring is no longer necessary since he's top in his class!"
Michael D.
Tucson, AZ
"My son seemed to lack the hand/eye coordination needed to perform well at baseball. I looked into other sports, but he insisted on baseball. After a few weeks of play, his coach mentioned
VQ® sports might be the solution. Not only
do I have a happier kid, I've got a future
baseball star on my hands."
David W.
Tucson, AZ

"After my father's stroke, his walking and eysight became a real issue. He had to rely on all of us for continual assistance. It was plain to see the once independent man was having a hard time adapting to not being able to do things on his own. VQ® rehab changed that and, within months, he had his independence back."
Jacqueline S.
Tucson, AZ
"Even in my old age, I took for granted the ability to read, drive, and walk. After my accident, I quickly realized how important those functions were to my independence. My son brought me to VQ® rehab and I must be honest, I was a skeptic. However, after my first session I realized this was the real deal and I was well on my way to recovery."
